Dr. Sergio Badel, MD, DFAPA, board-certified psychiatrist and psychoanalyst in Coral Springs, Florida

 I am a board-certified psychiatrist and psychoanalyst. I specialize in medical treatment and psychotherapy

for depression, anxiety, anger issues, self-esteem issues, challenges with emotional intimacy, difficulty

coping with stress, and obsessions. These symptoms often present when individuals describe feeling

“stuck” in their lives. They may have difficulty avoiding repetitive, unhealthy patterns that cause

emotional turmoil and distress. I have found it most therapeutic and cost-effective to provide

psychotherapy combined with medication management when appropriate. I offer individualized treatment

for adult patients and specialize in helping individuals with depression, anxiety disorders, and traumatic

experiences. I also have experience treating medical conditions that cause psychiatric symptoms and mood

disorders, including unipolar depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and schizophrenia. My work with

individuals is comprehensive and individualized. I integrate social, psychological, and cultural issues

alongside family, genetic, and other biological factors. Focusing on the person rather than the diagnosis is

essential for deeper understanding and contributes to long-lasting healing. I also incorporate holistic and

integrative approaches, personalized medicine, and nutraceuticals when appropriate.
